I’d like to buy my son tickets to Disney as his 30th birthday gift and I am a Florida resident but he is not. Can I pay for them at the resident price and then gift them to him?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tracy! It's always a pleasure to chat with a fellow Florida Resident and Disney fan!

I can't imagine a more magical birthday gift than the gift of a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Florida Residents are able to enjoy some pixie dusted special offers throughout the year. In order to enjoy these benefits, adult guests over the age of 18 do have to show proof of residency. Below are the accepted forms of residency validation:
    • Valid Florida driver's license (must have a Florida address)
    • Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
    • Valid Florida-based military ID

If your son is unable to provide proof of residency, as Timon and Pumbaa would say, Hakuna Matata! No worries. You can still gift him with the gift of Disney easily! You can still purchase theme park tickets, a Disney Gift Card, or even annual passes for his big milestone birthday. Simply visit the gift of Disney vacations online and select any amount you wish to gift.

As you continue planning this wonderful birthday surprise, be sure to consider making a special birthday dining reservation. Also, when you're finally enjoying the magic together, be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button so he's celebrated throughout the day!

Have a magical day and we hope to see you again real soon,
