Ahoy there, Jen!
Welcome aboard planDisney! With just over a month to go before you
set sail on the enchanting Wish, it sounds like you're well on your way to having your packing list shipshape and ready for adventure. And I love that you're thinking ahead about bringing your favorite celebratory sips onboard!
You’re absolutely right in navigating
Disney Cruise Line’s alcohol policy—it’s practically a treasure map when it comes to planning. Even though FRE Alcohol-Removed Sparkling Brut is labeled “alcohol-removed” and contains less than 0.5% alcohol, it still sails under the same flag as traditional wine in the eyes of Disney. That means each Guest 21 years or older may bring aboard up to two bottles of wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml), or six beers (no larger than 12 oz)—even if it’s of the bubbly-but-not-boozy variety.
Just be sure to
pack your bottles in your carry-on bag. Bottles found in checked luggage may be discarded and may delay your luggage to your stateroom, and nobody wants their toast to start with a hiccup.
Now, here's some good news to keep your glass half full! That two-bottle rule applies per eligible Guest and per port, which means if you’re traveling with other adults, each of you can bring your own allocation aboard. And if you’re planning to pick up more of your favorite bubbly at a port stop, you’re welcome to do so—just stay within that limit at each embarkation. Spirits and liquor purchased ashore will be stored by the crew and returned at the end of your cruise, but your FRE Sparkling Brut should be good to go for your stateroom celebration.
I hope this helps add a little extra sparkle to your embarkation day plans! If there’s one thing Disney is great at, it’s turning every little moment into something worth raising a glass to—even if it’s an alcohol-free toast to smooth sailing and sunshine.
Sea ya real soon as May brings sunshine, magical ports, and maybe a Mickey bar or two,
Dustin
