Howdy Stephanie!
Welcome to planDisney. How exciting that you are planning on taking
Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour. This 5-hour tour will explore the creation and remarkable growth of the most beloved parks at Walt Disney World. Your tour guide will share some little-known facts, trivia, and other exciting information. You will also get to explore the famed “Utilizer” tunnels. I don’t want to spoil any more, so let’s get to your question and book your tour.
Alrighty, you have a couple of options to get to your 8 AM tour. First, you can certainly take your own vehicle and park at the
Magic Kingdom. The monorail and the ferry from the Transportation and Ticket Center start running 1 hour prior to the park’s opening. That also means it will start running 1 hour before opening for guests with early-entry privileges. For example, if the official opening time of the park on that day is 9 AM, early entry will be at 8:30 AM; therefore, the monorail and ferry will start running at 7:30 AM. Once you get through security, you will see a sign directing guests with early-entry reservations to a line to enter. The other option is to take a ride-share service to the Magic Kingdom, where you can be dropped off right by the entrance.
If you plan to spend the rest of your day at the park, I would recommend staying for my new favorite parade,
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. This amazing parade celebrates magical moments from Disney stories, each touched by starlight. My favorite place for viewing is on Main Street USA. You might want to arrive a little early to find a space as viewing fills up quickly.
Stephanie, I hope that you have a magical time during your Keys to the Kingdom Tour. If you have any further questions, please stop by here at planDisney, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
See ya real soon,
