Hi! I'd appreciate any advice on how to manage bathroom trips with the long lines at Disney (and keep # of trips to bathroom from being excessive/not losing place in line?!) 2 5/year olds and 3 year old. Also, are there many family restrooms? Thanks!

    Hi Deanna,

I had to smile when I read your question. When my youngest were the ages of your children, I remember my husband joking to someone that we can find every single bathroom in the Disney parks with our eyes closed. With 5 little ones, we kept wishing there was a way to synchronize their bladders.

You'll be happy to know that there are quite a few family restrooms throughout the parks. I'm not sure how well your 3 year old does with "holding it", but you don't want to get stuck deep in a queue and have to leave to find the potty. Honestly, my best suggestion to you is simply this: every single time you pass a restroom or before you get in line, ask them all if they have to go to the bathroom. Better yet, bring them in and have them try. I remember saying (a lot), "they don't have a bathroom on this ride, so are you sure you don't have to go"? You should find it comforting that every other parent of little ones will be in the same situation. Most are pretty understanding if you find yourself in an emergency and one of you have to scoot to the restroom while the other parent holds your spot. A simple, "Oops...sorry...we've all been here right?!" usually works well.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful vacation together. Please let me know if I can assist you further,
