Can you still get iced tea through room service and if so do they charge. I’m a tea drinker

Ahoy there, Kyle! Welcome aboard planDisney!

Ah, stateroom dining - if you ask me, it's one of the best-kept secrets about what's included on a Disney Cruise Line vacation!

Ok, so it's not that well-kept, but it is a great way to get even more value out of your vacation, and the fact that room service is available 24 hours a day helps, too!

As a fellow tea drinker myself, I know that when the thirst for a good cup hits at any hour, it must go addressed! Unfortunately, when it comes to iced tea, you will be charged as you would for all soft drinks ordered through room service with the exception of hot tea and coffee.

Of course, you could always do what I tend to do and steep a cup of tea, realize you're late for an activity, race out of the stateroom, have the time of your life, and then return to your now not-quite-iced, probably too-strong tea...

For the record, I don't really recommend that - food safety and all.

But all is not lost, the good news is that during all meals in the main dining rooms, iced tea is available at no extra charge! Once you request it at your first meal, odds are your dining team will have your preferences committed to memory, and a nice glass of iced tea will be sitting waiting for you when you arrive, or shortly thereafter.

Oh, and one last planDrew-approved tip: hot tea (in bags) is also available 24 hours a day at the beverage stations on the pool deck, so I like to pop up there and make a double-strength cup in a tumbler I bring from home, and pour it over ice to take around the ship! If we time it right after one of the deck parties or movies on Funnel Vision, it's nice and cold by the time we get back to the stateroom!

I hope that keeps you steeped in anticipation of your upcoming cruise, Kyle. Thank you for your question - we tea drinkers have to stick together! If you have any other questions that surface as you continue your planning, or just want to have me take a look at the tea leaves to see what's on the horizon for you and your crew, send another message my way here at planDisney!

    Bon Voyage!
