Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Deborah! I hope this finds you well.
I see that you are vacationing at
Walt Disney World in just a few short days. I bet you've got to be getting so excited. The countdown is on!
Deborah, while you are absolutely permitted to bring in outside food and beverages to the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks, loose ice is no longer permitted. It will be best if you pack small reusable gel packs or something similar to keep your things cool throughout the day. A few other reminders as you pack your lunch cooler for your Disney day, Deborah. Outside alcohol of any kind is not allowed so be sure to leave that at home as well as glass containers of any kind. The only caveat to that rule is baby food jars but plastic containers for those are preferred as well. You won't have access to any heating appliances throughout the day so it is best to pack food and beverages that can be enjoyed either cold or at room temperature. Other than that, you are pretty much free to bring in whatever suits your fancy. When I am packing my cooler for the day, I like to include sodas and a few snacks. I leave the bottled water at home though, Deborah. Throughout the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, you can enjoy complimentary ice water at all quick-service singing locations and snack carts that have fountain beverages. This saves so much room in a cooler and is a lot less weight to carry around. When you need some water, just visit any of those types of locations and ask a Cast Member at the cash register for a cup of ice water and they will be more than happy to supply you with as much as you need. It's great!
I hope this helps you plan for your day a little bit better, Deborah. If you have any other questions before you go, stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
