Ahoy there, Ashley, and welcome to planDisney! I commend you for planning ahead to provide for your little one while also carving out time for yourself on a Disney Cruise, so I’m honored to help you navigate this piece of your planning.
While Disney Cruise Line goes above and beyond to support families at every stage, there currently isn’t a way for Guests to store or freeze breastmilk or ice packs. Each stateroom is equipped with a mini fridge, but it’s not designed to maintain a consistent freezer-like temperature. Ice is available from the
24-hour room service or beverage stations, but it may not keep items fully frozen for the duration of your sailing.
As a fellow mama bear, I know that’s probably not the answer you were hoping for as you prepare for your trip. As you think through and consider alternate plans for milk storage, I hope you’ll also give yourself permission to enjoy the little luxuries onboard. Stop by the
Senses Spa & Salon for some well-deserved pampering, enjoy a specialty coffee or latté at Cove Café, or dance the night away in one of the adult-exclusive lounges. Sometimes the best way to fill your own cup is to let Disney handle the magic while you rest and recharge.
And once you’re onboard, your best friend for schedules, activities, and even spa specials is the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It’ll help you make the most of every moment, so you can relax knowing that both you and your family are cared for. Speaking of family, you can also use the DCL Navigator app to chat with friends and family onboard! If you’re looking for a way to communicate with loved ones back on land, I suggest channels like WhatsApp, iMessage, or even Messenger.
Thank you for trusting us with this question, Ashley. If any other thoughts bubble up before you set sail, I hope you’ll fly back to us here at
planDisney!
SEA ya real soon,
Sami
