Iam trying to plan a trip to Disney world for my 2 year old who is obsessed with Minnie, Mickey Donald and Daisy. What is the best place to stay, eat and see if those are main musts?how far in advance do character meals and parks reservations need to book?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Carla. I'm so excited you stopped by! A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is always magical, but especially so with a little one in tow. Let's chat about how to plan a special visit for your 2-year old!

I just love that your little one is obsessed with Mickey Mouse and his pals. My kiddos each went through the same phase and it was so darn cute! I recommend making a reservation at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort or Disney's Pop Century Resort. These hotels have newly renovated rooms that feature Mickey Mouse and his pals throughout the room. Your toddler will really get a kick out of those decorative touches! I especially love Disney's Pop Century Resort because it offers Disney Skyliner transportation. Can you imagine how your little one will squeal when they see a gondola adorned with a Mickey Mouse wrap sail by? So cute!

Booking a few Character Dining Experiences will be a must. I love these unique meals because my kids can fill their bellies and visit with their favorite Disney Characters, all in one place! For a Mickey Mouse fan, I recommend Chef Mickey's, Tusker House Restaurant, Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine, and Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. One of the things you'll appreciate about these restaurants is that at the locations featuring a buffet, your 2-year old can make a plate at no charge! Isn't that awesome? Dining reservations can be made up to 60-days in advance. The sooner you book, the better availability you'll find!

You can begin booking your Theme Park Reservations at this time. You can find Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Daisy Duck at all four theme parks, but I especially recommend making a Theme Park Reservation at Magic Kingdom Park. This iconic park has lots of toddler-friendly attractions that your little one will just love! Did you know that Guests under the age of 3 are special Guests of Mickey Mouse and do not need a Theme Park Ticket for theme park admission? Just one more reason to get your 2-year old to the Walt Disney World Resort!

I hope this was helpful, Carla. Please let me know if you have any more questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
