hello iam a single father of twins iam trying to plan for ur next vacation to disney is going to be my first time over there. if somebody can help me with tips about which hotel is good and if is safe for me to go by my self with them.

Oh, Manuel, that is so wonderful that you are planning your first trip to Walt Disney World with your twins!  I hope the Moms Panel can be of use to you as you put together this exciting adventure.

No matter which Disney resort you choose, I think you will feel safe staying as a single adult with your children.  Disney does a wonderful job of lighting their resorts well so that pathways are safe both day and night.  Personally, I feel safest in the resorts whose doorways open into interior hotel corridors, as opposed to the motel style accommodations whose doors open into exterior walkways.  If you feel the same way, consider staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  This is the most affordable deluxe resort in the Magic Kingdom area of Walt Disney World.  The theming at this resort, reminiscent of the century old national parks of the Pacific Northwest, makes it a favorite among families with small children.  I bet your kids would love the pool and the daily scheduled activities too.

If your children are at least of preschool age, be sure to introduce them to the first Cast Member (Disney employee) you meet upon your arrival at Walt Disney World.  Cast Members all wear the same distinctive name tags.  Explain to your children that if they get separated from you at any time they should ask any Cast Member for help and they will assist them.  Make sure that both of your kids have your cell phone number in their pocket or on a slip of paper in their shoes.  Then the helpful Cast Members will know how to reach you instantly if the need arises.

Let us know if there's any additional advice we can provide.  You and your children are going to make some magical memories.  I'm sure of it!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
