Iam planning on staying at Animal kigdom lodge for a few nights then going over to the Polonesian. What rooms do you suggest at animal kingdom to see the animals from your room, and best houses at polonesian for views?

    Hi Melissa!

Wow! You've got Magical plans to visit two spectacular Disney Resorts!

After making your resort reservations, your best way to secure the view you're after would be to call 407-W-DISNEY and request that a 'note' be made to your file. Specific requests cannot be guaranteed, however every attempt will be made to accommodate your request based on availability at the time of check in.

At Animal Kingdom Lodge's Jambo House, Savannah or Arusha view rooms are optimal. Arusha View Rooms look out onto Arusha Rock and the savannah located at the back of the Jambo House Lodge's lobby. On our most recent stay, we reserved Savannah View Bunk Bed room type. Our room was located on the third floor of the Zebra Trail section of Jambo House, in one of the wings facing the Uzima Savanna. The kids LOVED the bunk bed set-up for sleeping and the views onto the Savannah were spectacular! We had a hard time peeling ourselves from the balcony in the mornings to head into the parks as we were completely engrossed watching a half-dozen giraffes with several babies as they peacefully nibbled from the trees right before us.

Over at the Polynesian, your best longhouse choice depends upon the view you'd like to have!
If it's a view of Seven Seas Lagoon you're after, or watching Wishes fireworks over Cinderella Castle from your patio or balcony, then you'll want to reserve a Lagoon View or Theme Park View Room. Best views here would be the third floor in the Tahiti or Tuvalu longhouses. For a serene & quiet, garden view room and proximity to the Epcot monorail, book Garden View requesting the inside of Tokelau or Tahiti. If you can't get enough Disney Magic and you'd enjoy a view of the monorail quietly humming along, reserve a standard, Garden View room and request a 'monorail' view on the top floor of Rarotonga or Aotearoa.

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation Melissa!
