My husband’s phone manages both kiss’s iwatches. Can they all use their watches for their pass or do we need to get magic bands for the kids?

Hey Howdy Hey Katherine and welcome to planDisney!

I am so excited to see that your Magical vacation is only days away! You all are going to have a Not-So-Spooky time in Walt Disney World Resort as all the fall and Halloween festivities are in full swing! Thank you for your question on the specifics of Disney MagicMobile Service and its use with Apple devices. Let's see if we can get you an answer.

Long story short, I would say YES your children will be able to use their Apple watches as their MagicBands, but it depends. Considering your husband manages both of them, he would have to set up a MagicMobile pass for both of them on his phone through the My Disney Experience app which he would be able to link to his Apple Pay app. He would have to assign the specific MagicMobile pass to each child so they are using the right one as Disney does link the tickets to fingerprints and this should be consistent throughout your trip.

He can try to do this before you leave for your vacation as it is super easy to do. The first part, setting up the MagicMobile pass, which you can do right from your My Disney Experience app. Once you log on, on the bottom right-hand corner, tap on the three horizontal lines and then look for the tile "Disney MagicMobile" and tap on it. You should be prompted to set up passes for anyone in your immediate travel party. You also might see a blue "+" sign at the top right of the screen which you can tap on as well to create new ones. The hard part from here is to link them to your Apple Pay app and then distribute them accordingly from there. Your kids should be able to see them on their phones through the Apple Pay app. If they do, you are all set! If not, you still do have some options.

You can still have the MagicMobile pass on your smart devices, 1 device can hold multiple passes, so you can set them up for your children and have them on your phone. You can also elect to go with MagicBands or MagicBand+ which you can purchase at a wide variety of places such as the gift shop at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, Disney Springs or in the parks. So a few backup options if the first does not work out.

I hope this information helped get your MagicMobile passes set on your children's watches. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
