We would like to have my husband's parents come visit us during our upcoming stay at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Will they be able to come into the cabin, dine at resort restaurants, and travel to other resorts on resort buses?

Howdy, Anne, and welcome to planDisney. Thanks for galloping by with your question!

It looks like you're ready for a rootin' tootin' good time at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, and I couldn't be more excited for you! This peaceful, woodsy oasis feels worlds away from the theme parks, in the very best of ways! Of course, a visit to Walt Disney World is always more magical when you're with the whole gang, so let's get straight to your question.

Anne, your in-laws (or shall we say outlaws!) are welcome to visit you at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. They can explore the resort, enjoy a Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride around the grounds, and dine at the restaurants, including my family's favorite, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! And since you're visiting in December, don't forget to check out the festive decorations that typically adorn the campgrounds during the holiday season.

If your relatives are driving themselves to the resort, be sure to provide them with your reservation details (like your reservation number and room number). They will need this information, along with a valid photo ID, to use the resort's parking lot for the day. A few years ago, I had friends visit me during a stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the process couldn't have been any easier!

Now, let's talk about Disney transportation. I'm happy to share that all guests are welcome to use the monorail, the Disney Skyliner, and Disney's collection of boats and buses to get around Walt Disney World Resort. So if you're in the mood for resort-hopping, your guests can join your adventures! Some of my favorite resorts to visit are Disney's Polynesian Village Resort (where I can grab a DOLE Whip from Pineapple Lanai) and Disney's BoardWalk Inn, where I can enjoy a cocktail at AbracadaBar and satisfy my sweet tooth at The Cake Bake Shop® Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers!

I hope this helps, Anne, and that you and your family make some seriously magical memories during your upcoming stay. If you have any other questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    So long, partner,

    Allison
