How exciting that you'll be celebrating your husband's birthday on board! My last Disney Cruise was earlier this summer, and my husband celebrated his birthday during the cruise too. Experiencing a birthday on board was a first for us, and we loved it! Our stateroom attendant and dining team made the birthday feel really special.
Unfortunately, for
safety purposes, you cannot prepare a cake on board. Kitchen appliances are not permitted on board the ship. You can order a cake through
Onboard Gifts, but it must be ordered at least 7 days before your sail date. I think your cruise is very soon, and you might be past the order cutoff. You might wish to take a peek at the birthday decor packages available for your sailing through Onboard Gifts, as those are available to order up to 3 days before your sail date.
Depending on your ship, there might be an ice cream or sweet shop onboard with special desserts to purchase. You can speak to the Crew Members at Guest Services once you are on the ship about what special desserts might be available to you for your husband's birthday. Dessert will be offered in the main dining room each night of your cruise, so he'll definitely have his pick of treats that are included in the cruise fare. I know that even without a homemade birthday cake, he'll have a very sweet birthday during your Disney Cruise.
One fun idea for you is to decorate your stateroom door with birthday-themed magnets. We put special magnets on our door that said Happy Birthday to mark the occasion for my husband, and he loved the surprise.
