My husband and I and our adult son will be sailing on a Marvel Days at Sea cruise January 2027 out of Galveston. We want to book a port adventure that includes Cenote Springs, but there are several from which to choose. Which ones do you recommend?

    Hello, Bunny,

Avengers... assemble. And when you arrive at your Port Adventure and find yourself relaxing in a beautiful cenote, you'll probably say to yourself, "I can do this all day."

You're right! When there are so many choices for Port Adventures available during your stop in Progreso, Mexico, it can feel difficult to choose what you hope will be the right one for you. Since you already know you want to enjoy a visit to one of the beautiful cenote features in the area, that does help narrow down what you may choose. From there, it comes down to the sort of additional activity you might want to pair with your visit to the cenotes. My personal choice would be the Port Adventures that also visit some of the ancient ruins in the area, such as Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins and Cenote Swim (PGO31). If your party happens to prefer more of an adrenaline rush, I'd say that ATV Adventure and Cenote Swim with Lunch – Per 2 Person ATV (PGO27) is likely more appealing. If focusing more time primarily on the experience of the cenotes is what you would prefer, then I would recommend the Blue Hole, Cenote and Swim Adventure (PGO20) Port Adventure.

It's a good idea to have a first and second choice Port Adventure in mind as you go into selecting activities during your booking window. Sometimes even a third option might be useful. Port Adventures can sometimes vary in programming and availability. So it's certainly helpful to have a backup plan in place in case of unexpected twists and turns in your Disney cruise vacation planning. My family has found that having other options in mind is also a pretty good motivation for booking a placeholder reservation to take advantage of the onboard special offer. We have always found there is far more to experience on any given Disney cruise than we could ever have time to enjoy in just one cruise itinerary. Besides, booking another cruise also helps us advance in our Castaway Club status too!

Whichever Port Adventure and other activities you choose, I'm sure you'll have a magical time aboard the amazing Disney Magic. It's one of my family's favorite ships. And as the very first of all the Disney Cruise Line ships, it is also a beautiful vessel full of nostalgia and classic Disney vacation magic.

    Have a wonderful time, Bunny!
