Hi, my husband and I and 2-doggies are planning on staying at Fort Wilderness campgrounds in our RV. In your opinion which are the best loops for all of us?....we don't mind walking and are taking our bikes anyway (us humans that is.

    Hi Sylvia -

My family loves staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! Though we are dog owners and love our basset hound, she has to stay at home because we always stay in the cabins, which do not allow pets. How nice that your dogs will be able to stay with you in your RV!

When you make your reservation, please be aware that when you choose a pet-friendly site, you are guaranteed to get a pet-friendly site; however, the loop you select is a request and Disney will do their best to honor it once you are there.

The loops are pet friendly may change given demand.  The loops which are most often pet friendly are 400 through 900 and 1600 through 1900.  Loops 400 through 900 are premium hook ups, and loops 1600 to 1900 are full hook ups, so you will have to decide which type of hook up you would like.  More than location, I think that this will guide your decision as to where to stay.  Especially since you have your bicycles and don't mind walking or cycling, I would first consider the type of hook up that you want.

Within the pet-friendly premium hook ups (loops 400 through 900) you might consider proximity to Waggin' Trails Dog Park, where you can take your pet to play. It is located near to loops 400 and 500, so if you are interested in proximity to that, I would request those loops.  The full hook ups (loops 1600 - 1900) are all very close to each other, so I think that within those you could really chose any of them.  Overall, the premium hookups (loops 400 - 900) are closer to the Settlement Depot where you can find Pioneer Hall, the boat launch to Magic Kingdom, and lots of recreation, so you may also want to consider this in your decision.

What fun to take your dogs to Walt Disney World.  Have a wonderful time, and do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
