Hi there, Holly! Welcome to planDisney! You and your family are going to love staying just steps away from the park at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa not to mention the Craftsman-style architecture, the truly stunning lobby, the refreshing pools, and that Disney service!
One of the best perks is the proximity to
Disney California Adventure Park, including an exclusive entrance right by the
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. While technically only hotel Guests are permitted to use this entrance to enter the park, in my own experience, I have had no issues exiting the park this way regardless of being a hotel Guest. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has two of my very favorite eateries on property - Storytellers Cafe and GCH Craftsman Bar - and I often like to take a break from the park hustle and bustle and escape for lunch or dinner.
I love that
Storytellers Cafe is beautiful and spacious with a casual elegance perfect for the Mickey Tales of Adventure Breakfast or a dinner full of delicious American cuisine.
GCH Craftsman Bar is a great low-key spot to grab a bite out by the pool and usually has last-minute reservations available. The Black Truffle-charred Cauliflower Grilled Cheese Sandwich is my favorite! Both restaurants are good for big, multigenerational groups, especially with young kiddos in tow!
If you have any plans for some downtime, you may want to indulge in a treatment at the newly reimagined
Tenaya Stone Spa. Pulling inspiration from California's own landscape and natural beauty, the spa is as beautiful as its services are serene! If you're feeling like some active self-care, book an
exercise class just for hotel Guests! Imagine sunrise yoga IN or overlooking Disney California Adventure Park!
Holly, I can see that you are visiting on the spookiest day of all! Be sure to check out all the
Halloween Time festivities before you head to the parks. It's one of my very favorite times of year to visit! If you have any more questions in your planning, you know where to find us here at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
