I, my husband, & our 3yr old daughter are going to WDW in Oct. 2011. Is the “Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” a good event for a toddler?

    Hi Julia!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a spectacular event, and it is my favorite hard ticketed event at Walt Disney World.  However, I don't recommend it in general for a toddler.  They would no doubt have fun, and there's nothing really scary.  It's just that the party doesn't officially start until 7pm (and runs until midnight).  I've taken both of my children to the party and while we've always had a good time, we've never stayed very late and I've always wondered if I got a good value for the price of the tickets.  In fact, the party is a lot less crowded starting around 9:30, so a lot of guests are in the same situation.

However, if budget is not an issue then definitely go.  The special parade and fireworks are outstanding.  Also, I've never met a guest who didn't enjoy dressing up in costume and trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom.  It's definitely a blast!  I've done it several times without my children and always stay to the last second!

    Good luck with your decision!
