My husband, 19yr old dau. and I are planning a trip to Disney this July. We are torn between staying at the Coronado Springs and the Wilderness Lodge. We have always stayed in mod. level hotels but the diff. in price is small. Please Help!!

    Hi Judith!

Between the two, I recommend staying in the Wilderness Lodge if your budget can afford it.  However, I'm  biased.  The Wilderness Lodge is my absolute favorite resort on property.  I love the theming.  I love the lobby, and I love the music played in the lobby.  It's a fabulous place to sit and watch people come and go.  Whenever I'm there it is easy to imagine that I'm somewhere else, like in the Pacific Northwest.  I also think it is fun to take the boat from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom, especially at night when I think that trip is magical!

I highly recommend the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  It is a lot of fun.  If you go, be sure to ask for ketchup or insist on a large drink!

If you stay at the Lodge, you also have easy access to the Settlement Area of Fort Wilderness.  Thus you should consider making a reservation at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness.  It's only a boat ride away from the Wilderness Lodge.  It should definitely be a "Must Do" if you have never seen the show before.

However, I have to admit that Coronado Springs has a much nicer pool.  Their Quick Service restaurant is also better, in my opinion, that the one at the Wilderness Lodge.  However, it is a very spread out property.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
