Hi Judith!
Between the two, I recommend staying in the Wilderness Lodge if your budget can afford it. However, I'm biased. The Wilderness Lodge is my absolute favorite resort on property. I love the theming. I love the lobby, and I love the music played in the lobby. It's a fabulous place to sit and watch people come and go. Whenever I'm there it is easy to imagine that I'm somewhere else, like in the Pacific Northwest. I also think it is fun to take the boat from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom, especially at night when I think that trip is magical!
I highly recommend the
Whispering Canyon Cafe. It is a lot of fun. If you go, be sure to ask for ketchup or insist on a large drink!
If you stay at the Lodge, you also have easy access to the Settlement Area of Fort Wilderness. Thus you should consider making a reservation at the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness. It's only a boat ride away from the Wilderness Lodge. It should definitely be a "Must Do" if you have never seen the show before.
However, I have to admit that Coronado Springs has a much nicer pool. Their Quick Service restaurant is also better, in my opinion, that the one at the Wilderness Lodge. However, it is a very spread out property.
Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
