Hey there Davina,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! I'm thrilled to hear that you're going to be able to sneak over to the Disneyland Resort for a day during your upcoming visit to California.
Currently, to visit the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit. You can purchase your tickets at any time and just need to use them before they expire, but the theme park reservations are subject to availability and can run out - especially during the busy
Holiday season.
When looking at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar, I am seeing park reservations available for both parks as of the time that I'm answering your question. Therefore, I'd recommend purchasing your tickets directly through the
Disneyland Resort website. During the purchase process for the tickets, you'll also be able to make your theme park reservations so you'll be ready to visit!
There are both 1-day and multi-day tickets available for purchase, so you should be good to go there. Additionally, children under 3 are free so you'll only need to purchase two tickets! With the savings that come with only needing two tickets, I'd recommend considering the
Park Hopper option for you and your husband's tickets so that you all can hop between the two parks (
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park) starting at 11:00 AM on the day of your visit.
Thanks again for your question, Davina! I hope you and your family have a great time making new magical memories on your upcoming quick trip.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
