Hi. My husband, 11-year old son & myself are coming for our first Disney World trip the week of Thanksgiving. We are staying at the Polynesian in a lagoon view room. Are the lagoon view rooms available in more than one of the "longhouses"?

    Aloha Michelle,

What a wonderful way to celebrate Thanksgiving!!! You guys are gonna have such a great time and you've definitely chosen a great resort to call home during your vacation!  The Polynesian Resort is one of my favorites and I just can't get enough of the laid back, island-ispired ambience that is apparent everywhere you look!

Lagoon view rooms are located in three longhouses: Tahiti, Tuvalu, and Aotearoa (say that five times fast). My favorite Lagoon view longhouse is Tahiti, because it is very conveniently located and has a nice grassy area lagoon side as well as easy access to the sandy beach.

The only way to 100% guarantee a Magic Kingdom view is to book into a "Theme Park Lagoon View" room which is an upcharge over Lagoon.  A placement in the Tahiti longhouse increases your chances of being able to see the Magic Kingdom without upgrading!

Be sure to call Walt Disney Travel Company to have a Cast Member notate your location request to your reservation profile. Requests are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed, but I'm sure they'll do their very best to accommodate you upon arrival!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
