My husband and I would like to take our 3 year old for ONE DAY to Disney the end of August. Could you recommend an itinerary? Do you think that more than one park would be too ambitious for 1 day? Not sure about how he'll do on rides.

    Hi Radha,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! A one-day visit sounds perfect!

Given your limited time, I would definitely suggest that you spend the day at Magic Kingdom. Consider having an early breakfast at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom with Winnie the Pooh and friends. The Crystal Palace is still a must-do breakfast experience for my 11-year old girls.

After breakfast, do a few rides. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Astro Orbiter, or Peter Pan's Flight might be rides that he would enjoy. When our girls were younger, they also enjoyed riding the Walt Disney World Railroad. For a little adventure, check out one of the shows for Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial. If your little one still needs an afternoon nap, take a break from the park by 2:00 p.m. and return by 5:00 p.m. to do a few more rides and have dinner. We love to do dinner at Be Our Guest. Beast's enchanted castle is amazing. If your little one can stay awake for the fireworks, be sure to get a spot near the front of Cinderella Castle - I suggest claiming your spot at least an hour before the show!

Before purchasing theme park tickets, create a My Disney Experience account. Then purchase your tickets and link them to your My Disney Experience Account. Once linked, you can make Fast Pass+ selections for up to three rides per day that you have valid park admission. If staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can make those Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance. If not, you can make them 30 days in advance.

Radha, trying to visit more than one park in one day might be too much for your little one unless you can build in some afternoon rest time!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
