hi my husband, 10 year old daughter and i are going on the Disney magic 9 night med cruise in July, our 1st Disney cruise. how will we know how many formal evenings there are , and we are main seating to dine what time is that please.

    Congratulations, Andy!

I can't wait for you and your family to experience the magic on the Disney Cruise for the very first time! The Disney Magic is a spectacular ship that will boost your senses in hyper drive, from the minute you walk into the gangway and the crew welcomes you by announcing your family's last name on the loud speaker. The countdown to your grand entrance is here.

The 9-night Mediterranean voyage is scheduled to have a Formal night on the 2nd night of your voyage. You are onboard for a celebration - so, bring the bling and bring the dazzle! You'll have lots of photo opportunities with the professional photography staff in the atrium midship, as they setup their Disney signature photo backgrounds. These make lovely souvenirs for sharing with your friends and family. So come dressed to impress on formal night. There is also a Semi-Formal night on the 8th night of your cruise.

Ready for some swashbuckling fun? Don't forget about Disney's signature Pirates IN the Caribbean night on the 7th night. There will be a Pirate Party on deck, and I highly encourage you to join in on the fun and dress like a pirate. Remember to check out the Personal Navigator that will be delivered to you every evening by your stateroom host. Changes do happen, so make sure you get up to the minute schedules by looking through the Personal Navigator.

Main dining is at around 5:45pm, so after dinner, you can view the Broadway-style evening show right after (around 8pm). These shows are awesome, and you should try not to miss any of them. Check out this video from my fellow Disney Mom, Marcy, as she takes you around the Disney Magic

I hope this information helps. Let us know if you need help with anything other planning questions.

    Bon voyage!
