My husband and I are going to the world on our 6th wedding anniversy 9-9-2010. I was wondering what we could do that would be romantic in a place like disney that is not going to break the bank. We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside (mansions).

    Hi Dawn!

Happy Anniversary!  One of the most romantic things to do while at Disney World, just happens to be right at your sister resort - Port Orleans French Quarter.  At $45 for a 30 minute ride, the horse drawn carriage rides are sooo romantic and wind up and down the Sassagoula River.  In fact, the grounds of Port Orleans are so gorgeous, that you could easily spend an hour or two just strolling through the resort.

The morning of your anniversary, be sure to pick up a "Happy Anniversary" pin from any Guest Services desk.  You will be amazed at how many warm wishes you will receive.  No matter where you dine, be sure to mention to your server that it is your anniversary - you never know what surprises they may have in store for the happy couple!  Another great inexpensive way to celebrate is to wander the World Showcase in Epcot.  We love to hold hands, sip wine and wind our way in and out of the different countries.  Also, be sure to ask about weekday discounts at the Mandara Spa in the Dolphin resort.  They often offer deep discounts on their services during the week - be sure to check it out!

Of course, nothing beats watching the fireworks over Cinderella Castle with the man that you love!!!

    Much pixie dust,
