My husband is wondering where we will be parking? Will we know before we get there, carrying luggage, etc. Also we are celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary, any ideas we could do extra to celebrate?

Hi Cindy! Welcome back to planDisney!

Let the countdown begin for your Walt Disney World vacation! You are about two weeks away from arriving for a magical stay! I can't think of a better way to celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary!

As far as where you will be parking, it will depend on where you are staying. If you're staying in a Disney Resort hotel, parking is available onsite. All the resorts will have complimentary self-parking lots, with some being closer to your resort room than others. Deluxe Disney Resort hotels and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort offer valet parking with an additional fee if you prefer not to park your vehicle yourself. Regardless, once you arrive, you should pull up to the front of the check-in area to drop off your baggage. A Cast Member at Bell Services will help you unload your luggage and bring it to your resort room once it is ready. Once unloaded, you can decide how you want to park your vehicle from there.

Once you park at your resort, you will not have to move it again until your departure. Walt Disney World offers complimentary resort transportation to Guests staying in Disney Resort hotels. This will come in many forms, including by bus, monorail, boat, and the Disney Skyliner. If you decide to drive your vehicle to the theme parks, there are parking lots available at each one. For the Magic Kingdom, you will be directed to the Ticket and Transportation Center. From here, you'll have to hop on the ferry boat or monorail to get to the entrance to the park. Parking is included if you are staying in a Disney Resort; otherwise, you'll need to pay each day.

There are countless options to help celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary. The first thing that comes to mind is an incredible dining experience. There is no shortage of places to choose from, but Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Flying Fish at Disney's Boardwalk jumped to the top of my mind. Each of these dining locations offers an incredible ambiance and delicious menu options. I also suggest booking a Capture Your Moment photography session at one of the theme parks. This is the perfect way to commemorate your special occasion at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Cindy, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay! Stop back and see us again at planDisney.

    See ya real soon!
