Hi there Gene!
Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I cannot wait for you and your husband to have a magical vacation at the Happiest Place on Earth. With five days to spend at the Disneyland Resort, you will have plenty of time to take it slow on your vacation if necessary.
I definitely understand how pushing your husband in a wheelchair can become tiresome each day. While there is not a service for a personal aide within the Resort itself, this may be something you can look into from third parties. One suggestion I have is to consider an ECV or scooter for your husband giving you both some freedom at the parks. You can
rent ECV's early each day on a first-come first-served basis near Disneyland Park entrance on the right side.
Another suggestion I have is to take advantage of the transportation options within the parks. Not only are these great ways to get around, but they offer some amazing views. My family loves to relax and soak in the beautiful sights while aboard the Disneyland Railroad and Disneyland Monorail in Disneyland Park. Over in Disney California Adventure Park we always take a few rides each day on the iconic Red Car Trolley to rest our feet.
Since mobility is a concern for your husband, don't forget to check the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities page online. This will give you information on how your husband will be able to ride attractions as well as give you locations for disability parking if necessary.
I hope this is helpful, and please don't hesitate to return if you have any other questions. Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day!
