Hey there, Jennifer. Welcome to
planDisney!
I love how accommodating
Walt Disney World tries to be for all Guests. It truly is a magical place for everyone. That's one of the reasons I keep returning after all of these years.
Jennifer, I wanted to let you know that there is only one attraction at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park that imposes a weight restriction - and it isn't even a water slide. The
Chairlift, which takes Guests up to the top with access to Summit Plummet, Slush Gusher and Teamboat Springs, has a weight limit for the gondolas of 375 pounds. However, there is access to all those attractions by walking up the stairs as well so your husband will have access to all of those water slides and that's what you all are really there for anyway. It's a relatively short ride up to the top and there is always quite a bit of a wait to use this gondola system so your husband really isn't missing much.
I did want to mention that right now, Jennifer, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently not open to Guests. If you'd like to visit a water park on your trip, I highly recommend
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. I've been splish-splashing around Typhoon Lagoon since I was a young girl and it's an absolute blast. The wave pool - or surf pool as they call it - is so massive they used to give surf lessons in it before the park opened in the morning. It's a perfect wave every 90 seconds. Another must-do attraction at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is
Miss Adventure Falls. It's a fun water slide but the most unique thing about it is your board your innertube at the bottom of the slide and then take the aqua-escalator to the top to start the slide. It's pretty neat. And of course, we can't forget about the quintessential water park treat - mini donuts. I love picking up a dozen of these sugary-sweet bites on the way out. Delicious, it's a must-have while you are there!
A day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is fun for everyone, Jennifer. I hope you'll plan a day to enjoy it while you are at Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
Surfs up!
