Can my husband wear steel toed shoes into disneyland?

    Hi there, Amelia!

I have often followed up a day at a work site that required protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes with a magically relaxing evening at the Disneyland Resort. Yes, steel-toed shoes are allowed at the Disneyland Resort. Just be aware that the metal in the shoes may set off the metal detectors at the security entrances of the resort area. When I have had that happen to me, the Cast Members there have either been understanding when I mention the shoes or have had me remove the shoes to show they are safe and don’t contain any prohibited items.

Tony’s Tip: When I would go straight from work to the Disneyland Resort, I did sometimes wish I had lighter shoes to wear. That would have saved me some energy for more fun at the theme parks. When I switched to composite-toe shoes, that helped a little. Whatever you wear to the Disneyland Resort, I recommend that it be comfortable for you so that you will not feel overly fatigued after a few hours. And if you plan on visiting during the rainy season, you may want to consider how well the shoes will perform if they get wet.

I hope you have a great time at the Disneyland Resort, Amelia. If you have any more questions about your time at The Happiest Place on Earth, please feel free to visit us at planDisney again.
