My husband and I are going to WDW in November, but I want to buy our annual passes now and have them paid for. Does the one year validity start upon purchase, or when we first use them in November? Thank you!

    Hi, Jennifer!

I am so excited that you are planning on getting an Annual Pass for the Walt Disney World theme parks. You will love the perks and discounts associated with having the pass. I find it a very good excuse to shop even more - how can I possibly pass up the shopping discount!

When you purchase your Annual Pass online, you will print out an Exchange Certificate. When you go to Walt Disney World in November, take this certificate along with your photo ID to a ticket window at any of the theme parks or Disney Springs where they will activate your Annual Pass. That will become your activation date, with 1 full year of magic from that date until it expires.

The great thing about purchasing it prior to your visit is that while not activated, your Annual Pass will be linked to your My Disney Experience account allowing you to book your FastPass+ selections as well as take advantage of any Annual Pass resort hotel discounts that may be available.

Wishing you 365 days of magic with your Annual Pass!
