My husband and I will be at WDW 12/12-15/21 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniv. Been trying to book dinner reservation but all the restaurants I picked states "Dining plans are temporarily unavailable" Pls HELP!

    Hi, Joanne! Welcome to planDisney!

Allow me to wish you and your husband a very Happy Anniversary from all of your friends here at planDisney! Congratulations on 25 years, and may you enjoy many, many more!

Joanne, I'm so sorry you're having a hard time making dining reservations for your special trip, but don't you worry. We've got this! I know we'll be able to find you something wonderful to celebrate this momentous occasion.

First, let's have a quick chat about the note you're seeing regarding dining plans. That's just letting Guests know that the pre-paid Disney Dining Plan that was available for purchase before the closings last year hasn't returned yet. Many Guests loved using the Disney Dining Plan to help budget for their vacations, so Disney just wants to make sure everyone is aware that it's unavailable at this time. You'll want to click on the blue "Check Availability" button to look for a table on a specific date.

Okay, now on to the good stuff! I did a quick search for 6 p.m. on your arrival date, December 12, and found quite a few options that I think would be lovely spots for a romantic meal. The best way to search is to head over to the main Dining page on the Walt Disney World website, then enter the date, time and party size in the drop down menus, and click on the green "Search Times" button. That will bring up a listing of every restaurant throughout the Walt Disney World Resort (including Disney Springs) with availability within about a 2-hour window of your selected time. Here are some of my highlights from this particular search:

Sebastian's Bistro, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
One of my favorites! It's right on the water, with big picture windows and delicious dishes. Plus, getting there is half the fun when you take the Disney Skyliner from EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios!

    Trattoria al Forno, Disney's BoardWalk
Warm and cozy with delightful Italian fare, and you can enjoy a romantic stroll on the BoardWalk after dinner.

    Wine Bar George, Disney Springs
A restaurant concept from a master sommelier, it's all about pairing great wine and amazing food!

Now, these may not be the exact dining experiences you were looking for, since many Disney restaurants are booked well in advance. But I do hope you find that there are still lots of options that you might just fall in love with!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see us with your question, Joanne. I hope you and your husband have a magical anniversary vacation and a joyous holiday season!

    Keep Disney Dreaming

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
