Ahoy, Heidi!
CALLING ALL BABY CRUISERS! It's time to take to the mat and find out who is the fastest crawler on the seven seas! Named for Jack-Jack from the super hero family in Pixar's
The Incredibles, Disney Cruise Line's tiniest cruisers will race to the finish to see who has the greatest speed superpower. The 20-foot race takes place on a specially padded mat decorated with crawling lanes in the Lobby Atrium, and is typically held on days at sea.
I'm so happy to hear you're planning to have your little one compete in Jack Jack's Incredible Diaper Dash on your next Disney Cruise. The Diaper Dash is one of my "don't miss" events when we sail with Disney Cruise Line. Although my little one was past the crawling stage when we took our first cruise, we've always loved watching the race and cheering on the littlest cruisers.
There's no specific "age limit" to participate in the Diaper Dash, though the activity is limited to babies in diapers. All crawling babies on board are invited to compete.
The only "rules" that apply are:
- Parents are allowed to entice/encourage from the Finish Line with toys or treats, but are not allowed to scoot or slide their babies in any way.
- Racers must be crawlers - walkers will be disqualified.
- Contestant must cross the Finish Line to win.
Hopefully your little one will still be a crawler at the time of your cruise, so your family can participate in this super-fun event.
