My husband wants to play a round of golf on our vacation. Is is possible to rent clubs at the Disney courses, or do we need to bring clubs with us? If we can rent, what are the fees?

    Hi Kimberly,

First question is "are you staying at a WDW Resort during your vacation?".  I ask, because this does make a difference in my answer as WDW has extended the free golf club rental (with the purchase of a non-discounted round of golf) for WDW Resort Guests from December 31, 2010 until January 31, 2011 (this offer is subject to availability).  You will need to present your WDW Resort ID card at the pro-shop in order to get your complimentary club rental during these dates if this is when you will be enjoying your stay at WDW.

This is the information which comes directly from the WDW Website:

Are rental clubs and shoes available?

We offer Titleist  and Cobra club rentals and FootJoy golf shoe rentals. We provide golf tees, so all you need is golf balls and a golf glove if desired. We offer an excellent selection in each golf course pro shop. Rental clubs are available for men and women-in both right and left-handed models. Junior clubs are available at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course. Rental clubs and shoes do not need to be reserved in advance.

I am giving you the link to "Golf FAQ" (frequently asked questions) on the WDW Website where you will find a lot of useful information and handy tips for avid golfers such as yourselves, who wish to play the amazing courses at WDW.  Because the golf fees are so varied at the different courses (depending on certain discounts which may be available as well as the number of holes you will be playing and one or two rounds? etc....) and they change frequently, I would feel more comfortable to give you a phone number to call for more information on up-to-date fees and by calling (407) WDW-GOLF or (407) 939-4653, someone there will be more than happy to answer any golf related questions you may have.  Have a great trip!

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
