My husband wants our family vacation to WDW during the 1st wk of March 2012. We've only been down in Sept. We have 2 girls, will be 9 & 4. The 1 thing holding me back is swimming. Realistically, will we be able to swim in early March? Thanks!

Hi Lyn!  Swimming at the Walt Disney World Resorts is one of our favorite things!  Thankfully, the weather in Florida is extremely cooperative for this, even through the winter months on most days.  The Resort pools are open year round and are heated in the winter months.

Just last year I was at Walt Disney World in February and was able to enjoy swimming at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous!  So, there is a great possibility that your family will be able to swim in March!

However, one thing Walt Disney World has not mastered just yet is predicting the weather, so please know that there is a chance that you could still end up having some chilly early Spring weather on that first week of March.  But even on those chillier days we have always enjoyed taking a refreshing dip in the heated pools and warming up in the hot tubs.  Just be sure to pick up some of the fluffy, warm towels they provide at the pools,  and pack dry clothes in your beach bag!

I hope you all have some beautiful weather and lots of fun in the sun at Walt Disney World!
