My husband and I are wanting to plan a trip in February 2022. Are there any group rates/rooms? This will be our first time to visit with our boys. We may have other family and friends go with us as well.

    Hi Jolene,

Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to hEAR that you are planning a family trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Group rates are typically reserved for groups booking 10 rooms or more. If you need 10 rooms or more, contact Disney Group Getaways. If you need fewer than 10 rooms, you can search Special Offers on the Walt Disney World website. And, you can check vacation package pricing as well.

Take some time to review the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Check out the amenities at each resort and then do some comparison pricing for the dates of your visit. My family loves resort hotels that are within walking distance to a theme park. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Contemporary Resorts are within walking distance to Magic Kingdom and they have access to the Walt Disney World® Monorail. Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Yacht Club, and Disney's Beach Club Resorts are within walking distance to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

If you have not done so already, create a My Disney Experience account. Once you have that account, you will need to link your vacation package to that account. Your Disney Park Pass system reservations and advanced dining reservations should also be linked in that account. Currently the dining reservation window is 60-days prior to arrival. Given that you are planning to visit with a larger group, you will definitely want to make dining reservations.

When I have planned for a larger group, I have learned to plan some time together but to also allow folks to split up and experience the parks in small groups. When I took our girls on a girls' trip with my mom, her sister, her sister's daughter, and her granddaughter, there were just seven of us, so we stayed together. The larger your group, however, the harder it is to keep everyone together, so do not stress about it! Folks will find their fun.

Jolene, I am happy to see that you are planning in advance. Continue to do your research. Given the size of your group, I would also suggest purchasing Memory Maker in advance. Also, keep checking for any updates on the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. You just might get to experience it during your visit. I can imagine your boys' excitement as you plan their first visit! Stop by again if you have any more questions!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
