Hi Karley!
Oh boy, am I happy to read your question! Anyone who plans on sailing on the newest Disney ship in the fleet gets my full support. The
Disney Wish will be starting her inaugural season in less than a year...that’s a reason to cheer! Sorry, but that deserves a rhyme!Let’s get you this information ASAP so you can be ready to make your booking tomorrow on the Disney Wish when reservations open online starting at 8:00 A.M. EST.
You are asking two essential cruise questions: what will your deposit be and what is the cancellation policy? I’ll start first with the initial deposit: it will be based on the total cruise fare for your Disney Wish itinerary (typically 20% of the cruise fare), and it is due within 24 hours of booking. The total cruise fare will be driven by the number of Guests, sail dates, and your stateroom category.
Since deposit requirements are always subject to change, here’s how you can know for certain the deposit amount for any particular cruise. While on the
Disney Cruise Line website, check out the
list of Disney Wish itineraries available. You will enter the number in your party and the stateroom category for pricing. Once you select the cruise you want, you can add that sailing to your Shopping Cart. The Shopping Cart screen will show the “Total Cruise Price” as well as the exact “Due Today Deposit” amount. However, you won’t be able to check this until these cruises are open to the general public for booking on June 24th.
Since you are planning to sail on the Disney Wish in the Fall 2022, that does fall in the regular rules regarding cancellations. So you’ll need to check the Disney Cruise Line
Terms and Conditions. The potential cancellation fee will depend on how many nights you are sailing. For cruises for 1 to 5 nights, you would need to cancel 90 days or more in advance to get your deposit back; 6-night or more sailings, you would have to cancel 120 days or more in advance for a deposit refund. All the Disney Wish voyages are 3 or 4 night sailings, so you would need to cancel at least 90 days prior to your vacation start date.
I hope there is every reason to make your reservation tomorrow and no need to cancel in the future. But it’s good to know all the rules going in, isn’t it? WISHing you the best of luck getting the itinerary you want and a fantastic vacation!
Bon Voyage!
Sherry
