Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katleen! My family loves to eat our way through the Parks, but we have small stomachs! We’re more of the kind to eat a small; breakfast, snack mid morning, share a lunch, try for a snack and then gather ‘round a table for dinner and one dessert. We find that we get to taste more foods and try new things all the time!
Since we aren’t big eaters in one sitting, we hadn’t tried the
Disney Dining Plan for a long time. The one trip we DID elect it, we found it to be tons of food! Instead, we opt to dine a la carte, choose waters for meals, split one single dessert, and not try for as many snacks per person. When my friends and guests ask about the plan, I honestly tell them that if you are big eaters, the plan is an amazing value! But if you are like me, and prefer small plates more often, you’ll do better to eat on your own. Just remember that if you would like to dine at Table Service restaurant, you’ll still need to make
dining reservations as soon as possible, or as close to the 180s days before check-in as possible. This will ensure that you get the reservations you’re striving for, like the posh new atmosphere at
The Edison in Disney Springs. Oh, how I want all their decor!
I hope you have a wonderful time on your upcoming trip, and if there is anything else you need, please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel, again. We’ll see ya real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
