Hi Tanya, welcome to planDisney!
Congratulations!! Honeymoons and Walt Disney World Resort go together like Cinderella's foot and a glass slipper - they're a perfect fit! Every couple is different and there's something different for every couple to enjoy. Did you know there's a
website dedicated to Disney honeymoons? You can even start a Disney's Honeymoon Registry for wedding guests eager to share some pixie dust.
I'm going to recommend three must-dos for your honeymoon, Tanya: an Enchanted Extras Collection experience (or two!), a signature dining experience, and a honeymoon accessory.
Enchanting Extras Collection experiences come in various shapes and sizes and deliver copious amounts of pixie dust. For an October visit, I highly recommend experiencing
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which occurs on select nights in Magic Kingdom Park. This is a special ticket event, which means no additional theme park reservation is required to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. on your party day. Since this is your first time at a Disney park, the smaller crowd during the party will make it easier to experience multiple attractions with shorter wait times. Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular are Guest favorites that are exclusive to this event.
A couple of other Enchanting Extras Collection experiences worth mentioning are
Capture Your Moment photo sessions (available in all four theme parks) and a
Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert Party. You can begin booking most Enchanting Extras Collection experiences online 60 days in advance at 6:00 a.m. EST.
Signature dining experiences are geared toward mature palates looking to enjoy a culinary adventure at a leisurely pace. I dined at
Cítricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa on my honeymoon 15 years ago and remember feeling extremely grown-up sitting there with my husband, enjoying a fancy meal. Dining reservations can also be made online 60 days in advance. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can make reservations for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) 60 days in advance of their check-in date. On the specific topic of adult cocktails, you may be interested in

Last but not least, Tanya, make sure you and your husband pickup up honeymoon celebration buttons, available at Guest Relations inside each theme park or most in-park retail locations. Cast Members are the heart of the
50th Anniversary Celebration and they especially love to shower newlyweds with Disney magic.
Here's my
direct line for any follow-up questions, Tanya. Planning for happily ever afters is my specialty.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
