My husband and I will be visiting WDW in December and we are hoping to secure a reservation to Victoria and Alperts. I am wondering how formal to go, Do I wear a fancy cocktail dress or a gown? This is probably a 1 and done, want to make the most of it

    Hiya Donna,

Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so excited to talk to you about Victoria and Albert's today! Last year, for my birthday, we were able to get a reservation, and I haven't stopped raving about it. The food, of course, is incredible, but it's the experience that makes this meal unforgettable. We are still discussing it and comfortably rate it as the very best meal we have ever had.

So let's talk looks! The dress code at Victoria and Albert's is semi-formal to formal, and from experience, this is truly the case. I saw a wide range of interpretations of that while we were dining, and all were acceptable. I believe in going big, so we dressed as if we were going to a formal wedding. My Prince Charming wore a suit and jacket, and I wore a fancier black cocktail dress that was covered in pearl embellishments. We were definitely on the dressier side compared to the other dining tables, but like you, we wanted to make the most of the experience. We also saw men without jackets and women in shorter cocktail-length dresses that I would wear to a weekend brunch if that helps. My ultimate advice, Donna, is to steer clear of anything overly casual and opt for something you would feel comfortable wearing that looks nice. You're going to be eating a multi-course meal, and by the end, I was stuffed! I was glad that my dress had a little stretch to it because I needed it to feel comfortable. If you want some specific images for inspiration, then definitely type in "Victoria and Albert's dress code" into an image search on your preferred search engine. There are several pictures of people's outfits, which can help give you an idea of the range. That is what I did, and it was a great starting point!

I hope this was helpful, Donna. Before I let you go, did you know that you get complimentary valet parking at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa with your dining reservation at Victoria and Albert's? I decided to break out my favorite pair of heels for the experience because I rarely rare them, and valet saved me from walking across the parking lot. Once your meal is finished, you can let your server know that you are ready for your car, and they will call down to have it waiting for you. It is a magical experience! Please come back and see us if you want to chat more about Victoria and Albert's (or anything else). We would love to help you!

    Happy Planning,
