    Hello, my husband and I are visiting in September. I was unable get ADR at Planet Hollywood or Rainforest Cafe so I'm looking for a good counter service restaurant in DD. My husband is very picky- any suggestions?

    Hi, Carrie!   My favorite counter service restaurant in Walt Disney World is at Downtown Disney . . . Wolfgang Puck Express.  There are 2 locations, one in the Marketplace, one near DisneyQuest.   Enjoy pizza, salads, pasta, and the best mashed potatoes around!   A complete menu can be found on www.allears.net.    My kids love the pasta and the good old stand-by:  chicken fingers and fries!

    Although you order your meal at the counter, your meal is brought out to you on real plates, with real silverware.   Drinks are refillable, and a server comes around to fill drinks, clear plates, and see if you need anything.   (All this for a quick service credit if you are on the Disney Dining Plan!)    This is the only counter service restaurant where we leave a tip, the service is consistently good here! 

    If you are not on the Disney Dining Plan, ask if they accept AAA or Disney Visa discount.   It doesn't work all the time, but for some reason I sometimes get a 10% discount.  (Just a little Disney magic sometimes I guess!)
