Me & my husband are visiting in late Oct w/our 2yr old daughter. We're debating doing Characters In Flight, it would be the first time that any of us have been on it. I am wondering if we should or not considering our daughter's age. Any thoughts? Than

    Hi Andrea,

I recently enjoyed Characters in Flight with my 9 year old daughter and we loved it! There are "walls" on the basket that you are standing in. You'll feel perfectly comfortable letting your toddler stand in the basket next to you. She may be too short to peek out the sides on her own, but there is also a high mesh "wall" that extends up for safety as well so you can hold her and she can look out. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a 2 year old on this attraction. I'm sure if you tell your little girl that she is going to fly in a big balloon she will be all smiles!

My one word of warning: Don't make any promises until you know that the balloon will be flying that day. My daughter had her heart set on it one year and due to winds, it was grounded. When I was speaking with the pilot this past June, he told me that morning is the best time to fly as in the afternoon the wind often picks up and / or there is rain.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation! Please let me know if I can assist you further,
