My husband and I are visiting family in the Florida area and plan to bring our 2 yr old son to Disney for the first time. I noticed ticket prices for 3 and up, does this mean 2 yr olds are free? Are there meal plans for people not staying at a resort?

Yes, park admission is free for children up to the age of three! You will not need to show any ID or have any sort of ticket for the child. This is a great savings for parents.

As for your other question, the Disney Dining Plan is only available for Disney Vacation Club members and guests of the Disney Resorts. There is a different plan, the Disney Dining Experience, that is available for Disney annual passholders and Florida residents. Perhaps you can convince your family members to join this program so that when you dine with them at Disney you can partake of their savings.

Hope you have a great trip!
