My husband and I will be visiting Disneyworld this summer for the first time in 33 years as MATURE adults without children. We are considering Port Orleans for this trip. As MATURE adults, which section of this hotel would you suggest. Thanks.

    Hi Alison,

My husband and I frequently choose Port Orleans French Quarter when we are taking an adults-only trip to Walt Disney World. This is one of the smaller resorts, and we like the quiet, intimate  feeling. Even though there is a very cool sea serpent water slide there that kids love, the resort just feels more adult to us. Guess it's the New Orleans vibe!

We prefer the rooms with a king-sized bed. Those face the gardens or courtyards and tend to be even more quiet.

There's no table service restaurant at French Quarter, but I love the hot beignets available in the food court. And Scat Cat's Lounge offers live jazz, snacks and libations. The restaurants and entertainment of Downtown Disney are convenient, using the free water taxi that departs from the French Quarter boat dock.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions. Enjoy your visit!
