My husband and I are visiting Disneyland on October 1 -3. I noticed the Paint Your Night Parade was not listed on the event calendar for those dates. Is the parade not available during this time?

Hi Barbara! Welcome back to planDisney! We love when you stop by.

I'm so thrilled you have a visit to Disneyland coming up very soon and am excited for all the magic you're about to experience.

Thank you for your great question. According to the Hours & Events Calendar, Paint the Night is scheduled for every night of your visit! It's good to know, however, that the entertainment schedule does adjust sometimes, so I encourage you to continue to check the Disneyland website for updates as your visit approaches. Dreams do come true!

If you're looking for a viewing location for Paint the Night, Barbara, my son and I found a great spot in Town Square, across from the Main Street train station, for the second showing of the night. This worked out perfectly for a few reasons: (1) The parade begins in Town Square for the second showing, (2) we were able to scoot out of the park pretty quickly after the conclusion of the parade, and (3) the second showing tends to see far less crowds than the first showing. Paint the Night absolutely wowed us both. I heard my too-cool-for-school-tween son utter, "Whoa!" multiple times, under his breath. I even caught him waving to Mickey. The magic is still real.

You're in for such a ghoulishly good time in Disneyland, Barbara, no matter what is on the entertainment schedule because early October is an incredible time to visit Disneyland! It's all just so festive and fun. You're in for a real treat! Speaking of treats, you'll definitely want to check out the Halloween Foodie Guide before your visit and start creating your must-try list! Good luck narrowing it down!

I hope this information has been helpful, Barbara! And remember, if any other planning questions come up, anything from how to utilize the Disneyland app or details about Halloween Time, please don't hesitate to reach out to me! I'd love to share more of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland!

Above all, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you the most magical visit, Barbara!

But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
