    Hi. My husband and I will be visiting Disney with out 3 yr old from Sept 23 until Oct 1 2011. I know that Disney World will be having a 40 year anniversary In October and I was wondering if they will be doing anything special during my stay? Thanks!

    Hi Monica!

    How exciting!  As far as I know, nothing has been released as far as a 40th anniversary celebration as of yet.  This post on the Disney Parks Blog eludes to something in the works ("...as we prepare for our celebration...", but there are no specifics given.  If something is going to be announced, I'd keep my eyes on the the Disney Parks Blog for information.  Now...if it's commemorative memorabilia you are looking for, then the merchandise has been out since late last year, and the collection seems to be growing every day! 

    There was a 40th anniversary event for D23 members back in May, and I heard it was simply wonderful!
