Smile, Linda, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's help you capture all the magical memories of your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Linda,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is such a beautiful setting, and it's just perfect for lots and lots of amazing photos! So, here are the basics when it comes to taking all those great pictures during your visit.
Disney PhotoPass is the general name for all of Disney's photographic services, from the individual photographers, to the photos they take, and the special products offered.
Memory Maker is one of the products of Disney PhotoPass service. It allows you to pay one price to download each and every one of your amazing memories.
Here's an example of how it works. Let's say you've just entered Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and you're enthralled by the majestic
Tree of Life. You see a Disney PhotoPass photographer nearby and decide to strike a pose with the tree in the background (a gorgeous photo opportunity, by the way!). The photographer will then scan your
MagicBand or admission card, and your photo will be "auto-magically" added to your
My Disney Experience account. You'll see a watermark on the photo until you decide to buy it, which you can do right there in My Disney Experience. But if you've purchased Memory Maker in advance, that photo - along with all the other photos, videos, and
Magic Shots you've taken during your vacation - is already yours to keep!
To find photo locations around Walt Disney World, just go to the
Disney PhotoPass page on the Walt Disney World website and scroll down to the interactive map at the bottom. There are also onboard ride photos and videos available at several attractions in the Theme Parks, and you'll need to purchase Memory Maker to download those.
I hope this helps you plan a picture-perfect Walt Disney World vacation, Linda. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
