Hello, my husband and I will be visiting Disney World in October. I was wondering if I would be able to use my rollator walker. It's a walker with a seat. I understand that Disney does not allow any type of folding chairs. Thanks

    Hi Shelley,

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World, it will be here before you know it!  You certainly may use your Rollator walker while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.  Four wheeled walkers with a seat like yours are considered an assistive device and as such are allowed to be used for your mobility throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

For Guests with mobility considerations you also have the option of Renting a Wheelchair at Walt Disney World.  Click on the previous link to be taken to a page explaining your two rental options.  First you have the option of a daily rental for a scooter type wheelchair at each of the theme parks.  These scooters are for use inside the theme parks and must be returned when exiting the park.  Additionally Guests may rent wheelchairs/scooters/assistive devices from private companies who will deliver to your Disney Resort hotel and pick back up at the end of your stay.  At the bottom of the linked page you will notice a list for these private companies under the title "Disney Featured Providers".  If walking for long periods of time is likely to be a concern for you then renting a scooter might be the answer for a more enjoyable vacation.  I have had several friends and family members tell me they were glad they chose to rent a scooter while on vacation even though they did not need one in their daily life at home.

I wish you and your husband a Magical vacation Shelly!  Please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help.

    Blessings,
