    My husband and I are visiting Disney World for the first time in January to run the half and full marathon. Is it possible to walk from the Port Orleans French Quarter to the starting line near Epcot?

    Hello Sarah!

    I have driven through Port Orleans French Quarter and the resort is beautiful! The one thing I must say, is that while it is close to Epcot and it's much less distance than a Marathon or Half Marathon, there really isn't an easy and safe way to make it over to Epcot. Now, I'm not sure if traffic will be blocked that day in front of the resort but there are also wooded areas where you may have to go around to get to Epcot. The best option would be to take one of the Walt Disney World buses to Epcot. I'm sure they will be running much earlier than normal and should be able to get you to Epcot prior to the start of the race.
