My husband and I are visiting the Disney parks for our HONEYMOON in May. We are torn between the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort and the Disney's French Poly Resort. Which one do you think is the best for honeymooners?

    Hi Isha!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

This is a hard question.  Both are excellent resorts and both have their fans.  However, I would suggest staying at the Polynesian Resort over the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  That's for a couple of reasons:
    • The Polynesian Resort is, in my opinion, the most romantic resort in all of Walt Disney World
    • The Polynesian Resort is on the Magic Kingdom monorail line, providing you easy access to the Magic Kingdom and, via a monorail transfer, Epcot
    • You can actually walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center from the Polynesian and directly board a monorail going to Epcot
    • Guests of the Polynesian have excellent dining options at the resort, but also have easy access to the restaurants in the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary because of the monorail
    • The Polynesian Resort has a beautiful beach that is very romantic, especially when fireworks are going off in the Magic Kingdom
    • You can rent a boat from the Polynesian and explore the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake

I could probably go on and on, but I hope you get the idea!  Disney's Animal Kingdom is nice and romantic.  If you really want to be somewhere exotic then go with Disney's Animal Kingdom, but otherwise I suggest staying on the Magic Kingdom monorail line for your honeymoon.

I hope this helps!  Write back with more questions!
