My husband and I will be visiting our adult son in California at the end of May. We are DVC owners and plan to stay at the Grand Cal resort the nights of May 30 and 31, Will the Grad Nites I just read about interefre with any of our plans?

    Hi Patricia,

I am so happy that you are going to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventures.  While much smaller than Walt Disney World, I find the theme parks in California to be very nostalgic;   Walt himself planned every detail of Disneyland, and I love walking down Mainstreet and New Orleans Square and just take in the experience.  The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are utterly amazing!  The location is right outside California Adventure; literally the entrance is outside the hotel.  I would treat yourself to dining at the Storytellers Cafe.  This quant restaurant has murals throughout showing the history of California with great food.  I would call Member Services or visit www.dvcmember.com to reserve your room there as soon as possible.

I really don't think that Grad Night will affect your stay.  Grad Nights at Disneyland around the time you will be here are on May 23, 31, and June 6.  This is a one day event with a special After Party for High School Seniors.  The theme parks will be more crowded on May 31st, but I don't think it will impact your ability to reserve a studio or villa as the kids are all local.   I hope you have a Magical Vacation visiting Disneyland, Patricia.  Welcome Home!
