Husband and I will visit with 3 teenage grandkids in January. I'm thinking best way to carry water, tickets, etc. would be in fanny packs which won't need to be taken off during rides. Would pack cells, cameras, etc. in plastic baggies. Sound OK?

Dottie - I think your plan for using fanny packs is a great idea.  Personally, with one still in diapers I use a larger diaper bag/backpack with a cross-body bag separately to carry valuables.  Whether it's a fanny pack or cross-body bag, something that keeps your hands free and stays close to your body is the way to go.  Keep in mind that plastic bags may not be perfectly waterproof, but in my experience keep things dry enough in light rain.

    Have fun!
