My husband and I would like to visit Hollywood studios but we do not do rides....how long should we plan for the park (1 day?? )

    Howdy partners!

Welcome to planDisney. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is such a great park. Originally, it was conceived as a working film studio along with rides. Over the years, Disney CEOs have taken to heart Walt’s words about plussing up experiences, as seen in today’s version of the park.

Alrighty, so it looks like rides might not be your thing, but there are still plenty of fun things to do and see at Hollywood Studios, and you can certainly get it all done in 1 day. As you enter the park, you will step onto Hollywood Boulevard, where you feel like you are in old-time Hollywood. Here you will find many great shops to browse. As you walk down the street, you will find Sunset Boulevard on the right. I would stop and grab some popcorn at the stand here because what goes better with movies than popcorn, right? Even though rides might not be your jam, I would still recommend stopping to see the amazing show buildings. At the end of Sunset, you will find The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and by the time of your visit, you should see that the Muppets have taken over Rock ’n' Roller Coaster. Right behind it, you will want to stop and see Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After with Maleficent and a few other surprise characters. After that, walk back to Hollywood Boulevard, where you will see the classic Chinese Theater, where you can find the Forecourt of the Stars, where famous stars have their hand and foot prints immortalized. Behind this theater, you will find another show, The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure. By the time of your visit, the new Animation Courtyard should be open, where you can learn all about the animation process. Be sure to keep checking Disney Park Blog for more information as it is released. Before you leave this area, you have to stop by one of my favorite exhibits, Walt Disney Presents. Here you can learn all about Walt Disney's history; it’s so magical. As you walk around Pixar Plaza, you will feel like you shrunk down to the size of a toy as you enter Toy Story Land. This might be a great time to stop for a snack at Woody’s Lunchbox. Next, make your way over to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This land will make you feel like you have stepped into a galaxy far, far away. You have to stop by and see the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy and maybe have some blue milk as well. Check out all of the great merchandise shops before you make your way out to Commissary Lane. Next, you will see real movie magic at Indian Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. I think this will really blow you away. After that, you should stop by For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. This is such a whimsical telling of this classic movie that everyone will enjoy. Now, before you skedaddle for the night, you have to stop and see my fellow panelist Scott’s favorite nighttime spectacular starring Mickey himself, Fantasmic!

Before we part ways, I would like to remind you to download the My Disney Experience app. This will be your go-to for navigating the park and checking out the showtimes for all the attractions I mentioned.

I hope you have an absolutely magical time visiting Hollywood Studios. If you have any further questions, please stop back by, and I’ll be happy to help.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
